Masquerade Ball Wallhanging

You know when you start creating and things just start to come together and then you realize you didn't take any photos? Yeah, that happened with my project today.  If you hop over to the Robin's Nest I still give you a step by step tutorial.

Time waits for no one

Halloween is the perfect time for rust and patina.  This Tim Holtz clock was rusted up using Ten Seconds Patina paints.
The plastic angel was painted using the same paints, but a different patina.  This is a copper patina finish.  The angel was some type of cheap candle holder.  I snapped the angel off the base and painted her all over.  She has tiny wings, but I wanted big wings.  I grabbed these Melissa Frances wings that I have been saving for just the right project.  I used layers of distress ink to color them.  They are hooked right onto the original wings and glued in place.
The flowers are all either dyed with Distress sprays or inked with Distress inks to age them.  The tulle is ripped and singed with my heat gun.  Heating the tulle makes it melt and curl.
Lots of moss and tulle are tucked all around the angel.
Remember time waits for no one.

Tweet bags

My first tutorial for Altered Pages is up today!

Here is a peek at the bag I show you how to make step by step.

Here's another I made using basically the same technique, but it's a smaller bag.

And a teeny tiny bag too.

These bird images from Altered Pages are just fantastic.  You probably spied some Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest too.

On a side note, I know I have been pretty quiet on here lately.  I have been working hard to get all my design team projects ready and I am starting a new job.  I have taken a big leap and left the company I was with for 15 years.  I am looking forward to more time with my family and my craft room.
I cannot wait to show you all the fun things I have been working on!

Wicked Witchy Hats

Be sure to stop by the Robin's Nest Blog today for a full tutorial on how to make these guys.  I show you how to make them big
And small!  I loved using my tiny tattered floral die to make the flowers on this one.  Can't you see a bunch of these being used for place card holders.
